I got my books for winter quarter, and yes there are more than 20 of them! That's what I get for being an English major.
I could have saved some money by getting some of these from the library, but I figured that if I'm going to be teaching English some day it wouldn't hurt to have copies of my own. Since I have a cold, I went ahead and bought them all at the campus bookstore, but if you want to save money it pays to shop around some. The College Store, the bookstore across Col. Glenn from campus, lets you look up online which books are required for each class, assuming the professors have done their jobs. Amazon.com often has new copies for sale cheaper than the campus store has new ones, and you can find used copies there from sellers all over the country.
If you're interested in the specific books I got, check out my updated books section. |
I had to do a presentation today for my Post Colonial Lit class. We're currently reading Woman at Point Zero so I did a brief biography of its author, Nawaal Saadawi. You can see my presentation if you like. |
