David's 2001 European vacation: Day 1 Day 2
In August 2001 I traveled to Europe for the first time. I went with my friends Jim and David, and we visited David's friend Kris and her family, who live in Hamme, Belgium. David has known Kris for many years, originally as a pen pal, and has often visited Kris and her husband Dries, who this time graciously let me stay with them too.
The first evening Kris' mom made dinner for us, and afterwards we all went to the local pub. Of course after you've spent an evening at the pub, you might have to make use of the town pissoire.
