My mother, her friend Nancy, my uncle Bill and I went to Cincinnati to see the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center museum, right in the heart of Cincinnati's renovated riverfront district. We spent only a couple of hours there; you should budget more time or multiple trips to really experience everything. Afterwards we went to lunch at Montgomery Inn at the Boathouse, also on the Ohio River. Heading back to Dayton we passed, on Sixth Street downtown, the award winning building of Cincinnati's Contemporary Arts Center and, on I-75 near Mason, the scary mammoth Jesus statue erected by Solid Rock Church.
